Lifes Daily Bread

Feed my sheep - John 21:17

Our Mission

To impact the lives of others by sharing food first locally then globally.

What We Provide

Food is a basic need that's necessary for survival. Our pantry doesn't share just food, but love, encouragement, and hope.

In the four-plus years since we opened Life's Daily
Bread at Life Church Ministries, our team of nineteen volunteers have become intertwined in the Brooklyn community and we’ve worked hard to build trust and respect with our neighbors.

Preperation & Serve

The food that we share is gathered on Saturday mornings from two retail stores and stored in our pantry room for distribution on Tuesday evenings.  We serve an average of 60 people weekly during the winter months and an average of 80 people weekly during warmer months. People of various economic status visit our pantry and they range from the homeless or senior citizens to working single parents struggling to make ends meet.

Our Commitment

Rather than pre-bagging food, our pantry is set up in a format that allows our visitors to choose
food items that make sense for them and their families. A variety of foods including canned,
boxed, frozen meat, bread, pastries and vegetables are displayed on tables for visitors to choose
from.

Brooklyn community and we’ve worked hard to build trust and respect with our neighbors.

Food Pantry

Our homeless neighbors hold a special place in our hearts, so we give them extra special attention.  The table that we prepare for our homeless is full of personal hygiene items and ready-to-eat foods like fresh fruit, canned soup, bread, luncheon meat, protein bars, tuna and bottled water.

Each week, we work hard to meet people where they are in their economic status by sharing food
to help supplement a basic need.  We greet everyone who visits our pantry with a smile, hello
and a Christ-like attitude to show them what Jesus looks like in human form.  We want their
experience to be pleasant, non-judgmental and memorable!
